The Society of Actuaries met with TASK officials to deliberate ways of developing and delivering actuarial professional development opportunities across the respective jurisdictions.
In attendance was Andy Peterson and Sofi Garcia, SOA’s Sr. Director of International Activities and International Staff Liaison respectively. The two bodies will continue to engage and find ways to collaborate in projects of mutual interest that benefit the growth of the actuarial profession. TASK was represented by its President Moses Mutuli, Sahib Khosla (Secretary), Seth Chengo (Treasurer), Donald Were (Chair, 2021 TASK Actuarial Convention Committee), and John Njiru (Secretariat).
The SOA is partnering with organisations and individuals that are leading-edge, distinctive, innovative, and add something fresh and dynamic to our curriculum plan. This partnership is expected to raise visibility of both professional bodies and contribute to the development of their members.
The discussions are part of TASK’s CONNECTING focus area; forging of relationships with key stakeholders in order to increase TASK influence with them. The stakeholders include the Society members, actuarial science students, individuals with interest in the actuarial profession, and regulators.
